Up next: our July series, Front Porch to the Back 40. From wine at the lake, to live fire, to Grandma’s garden — three nights, one long Arkansas summer.

July 16th is Live Fire - a Supper Club inspired by the universal urge to take the fire and the party outside in the summer. Think meat crisped by live flame, caramelized vegetables, cold cold desserts. But don’t worry - we won’t make you eat outside in July. That would just be cruel.

On July 30th, we are going to take a trip down to Grandma’s house somewhere in the Back 40 for a Supper Club inspired by lazy summer days on the tire swing, along the creek bank, and helping Grandma bring in the day’s harvest. I am breaking out my vintage church cookbook collection for this one, friends. Don’t miss it.

The soft summer solstice light. The crunchy cold granita. The cheekbones. Dionysus in Residence, Act III, was a whole vibe and it definitely did not disappoint. Ease Supper Club is here to take you out of your day to day, to a place where Dionysus wears a linen shirt at a garden party in Provence, the food and wine bring moments of delight and strangers become real friends.

Last week, we sat down with six wines and ten flavors arranged like a painter’s palette — tasting, mixing, figuring out what actually works together and why.

Tonight, I polished the silver. When you join the Ease table, you’ll notice that we use vintage silver flatware. Some of it is *very* vintage. None of it matches. And it is one of my favorite things.

When we set the table, I enjoy the beautiful patterns and patina. They just feel good in your hand in a way that modern flatware doesn’t. I love to choose the silver pattern to suit the person at each place and imagine the reactions of those who will notice such a small thing.

It’s one of my secret joys about supper club and now it can be yours too.

June 5th. A seated wine tasting built around one day of summer solstice celebration.

Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé at dawn. A Field Recordings ramato at midday. A Muscadet with a name we can’t fully print paired with something that gets set on fire. And an Etna Rosso from the slopes of a volcano to close the night.

Dionysus in Residence kicks off June 5th with Act I — a seated wine tasting built around a full day of solstice celebration. Four wines. Four bites. Dawn to bonfire.

We're pouring Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé, a Field Recordings ramato, a Muscadet with a name we can't fully spell out here, and an Etna Rosso from the slopes of an active volcano.

The bites are paired. The vibe is ancient. One course definitely involves fire.

We’re home. 🏡

Our new space in The Baker in the Argenta Arts District— a beautifully renovated Victorian — is ready to be filled with our people.

The Welcome Home Supper Club is happening May 28th, and we’re cooking some of your favorite Ease dishes with a new energy. Eggs Jeanette. Catfish with Delta Romesco. Duck Confit with Dirty Rice Grits. THE Mushroom Lasagna. And of course Arkansas strawberries.
