Whew… what a day at Pit Stop Diner.

It may have been the busiest day we’ve ever had.

What many people don’t see is all the work that happens behind the scenes—planning the menu, prepping the food, cooking, serving, washing dishes, and cleaning up. It takes a lot of hands and a whole lot of heart to pull off a day like today.

To our staff: thank you for showing up, digging in, and giving it your all. I couldn’t be more proud of this rock star crew. I appreciated you for working your tails off and keeping your smiles on, even when we were absolutely slammed.

To our customers, thank you for your patience, kindness, and support. When you purchase a meal here, you are directly supporting my family, our staff, and a small-town business built with love and hard work.

And to my kids: watching you step up and work so hard today filled me with so much pride. It feels like a full-circle moment—years ago it was my mom and me building this dream, and now it’s my children and me, alongside an amazing team that feels like family. We even pulled Papa Steve out of retirement to wash some dishes when he stopped out for breakfast LOL. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Days like today are exhausting, but they’re also a powerful reminder of why I work so hard and why I love what we do.

I’m not one to share personal photos on my business page, but these are the faces you have directly supported through the years.

We had a customer call earlier looking for a lost Kansas City Chiefs keychain 🔑🏈 — we searched while on the phone but came up empty.

Plot twist… we found it later in the parking lot 👀

We’re sharing a photo in hopes it finds its way back to its rightful owner!
