Friday October 24, 2014 at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth, MA USA from 6:30 - 10:00PM, Executive Chef, National Geographic Fellow and author BARTON SEAVER will be joined by other leading chefs for an oyster gastronomic tasting of delectable oyster dishes while listening to the sounds of the Fred Clayton Jazz Trio. Barton will be offering his own oyster creation and take time to enlarge and

enlighten us on the extraordinary value oysters bring to the health of the marine environment, our economy, coastlines and ourselves. The first annual OYSTER GRAND TASTING will showcase regional oysters – fusing the delicate taste and succulent plump texture of Cape Cod’s world renowned oysters, especially harvested for this event from sweet waters spanning Massachusetts shores to the islands and beyond. Leading chefs will serve recipes ranging from oyster classics to contemporary fusion creations to international offerings that will delight your palate however cautious or adventuresome will join him. The gastronomic event is sure to inspire greater appreciation for oysters both as a culinary staple, and as a vital species in the preservation of our one ocean. There is no better time to champion oysters and bring them to our tables. Saving our one ocean is vital not only to a significant part of world cuisine, but also, most importantly, the vitality of our ocean. Without the ocean, we cannot survive and oysters are key in maintaining its health. Proceeds from the event and the All Things Oysters silent auction will support ongoing oyster education programs.
