Chicago Grill of Peoria was a diamond in the rough. The food was spectacular and the staff was so nice. Very homie feel, even with the walls adorned with sports & hot dog memorabilia. The tables were covered in various sports trading cards; Michael Jordan was at my end of the table.

We ordered a vegetarian pizza and a Chicago deep dish as well as fried mushrooms and a gyro. It was a great time hanging out with friends & family as we celebrated Lord Tamale’s birthday & competition in the PDGA Master’s Worlds competition. It was a delicious meal & everything was cooked to perfection.

Check out Chicago Grill if you get the opportunity to dine in or to go. It will be a tasty food adventure & memory for you.

Made it back to Jimmy's Bar a few weeks ago while my friend competed in the PDGA Master’s Worlds. It’s always a good time at Jimmy’s & the snacks tasted amazing yet again. Can’t go wrong with fried pickles in my book. It was great to spend time with my family and meet the staff again. Hope yall had an amazing Oktoberfest & I look forward to passing through again in the future. You’re always welcome at Jimmy’s.

One of my favorite places to visit in Fells Point, Maryland is the The Seasoned Olive. It is an emporium of olive oils, balsamic vinegars & all your other kitchen-core needs for amping up shindigs of all kinds. I especially love the varieties of the olive oils & vinegars; along with samples available of just about every flavor. Whether you’re creating a new dish or an elaborate dipping sauce for breads & salads; The Seasoned Olive most definitely has what you need. As well as decor & randomness, you will be helped by the friendliest of staffers too.

The Arbequina olive oil is my favorite; it is nutty and herbaceous with a strong finish. The pizza evoo was a neat find this past visit as well as the hickory smoked. The balsamic vinegars are simply the best, so many infused flavors so little time. The cabernet sav infused was my favorite from last year but the bourbon or blueberry ginger take the cake for me this year.

I look forward to having food adventures in my kitchen & in future soirées to get “ooo’s” & “aaaawes” from my friends. If you haven’t stopped into The Seasoned Olive yet you’re definitely missing out. Stop on in today & be enlightened by all the possibilities for your next gourmet adventure.

I am a huge fan of brussel sprouts & if I see them offered in any setting, it’s for me. That’s exactly what I thought to myself while walking around Fell's Point Fun Fest & saw Wicked Sisters. I knew in that moment I was getting the brussel sprouts. They were offered with honey sriracha which was just icing on the cake metaphorically speaking. They were wonderful & hit the spot. The slight crispy outer layer smothered in sweet spicy honey made each bite wonderful. A hint if salt & pepper to keep the taste buds guessing; it was a wonderful start to my food adventures at Fun Fest. I will have to stop by Wicked Sister’s brick & mortar in the future for more delectable eats. If you see them out in the wild definitely stop on it. I saw others around enjoying their man & cheese as well as their chicken tendies. They have a rad vibe.

Kooper's Tavern is always the GOAT when it comes to Buck-A-Shuck at the Fell's Point Fun Fest. I appreciate their wit, banter, & shucking service so much. 1$ & 2$ oysters available. Don’t forget to return the shells back to the bins so they can be recycled with the Oyster Recovery Partnership. It’s a beautiful project and a delicious way to bring the community together. Stop on by to see them next year or stop in to get a pint along with some local fresh oysters. Either way it’s a great time.

El Mirador on the riverfront in Peoria IL is quite a Colombian niche in this part of town. Empanadas, cupcakes, lattes & more this cafe has it all. Culturally inspired cocktails & food adorn the menu. My aunt & I met for lunch at this rad little cafe.

We both got the cafe special the Lavender Maple Latte, one hot one cold. The cold brew is served in a can of sorts. It was a neat vessel to make use of. We ordered some empanadas (2 beef, one ham & cheese) as well as a Red Velvet cupcake that was simply lovely looking. The empanadas were flaky yet dense, definitely a different shape but all the tastier. The beef came with veggies & an almost stew inside. The ham n cheese was nice too. The tasty dipping sauces were great too.

The cupcake was thicc & decadent in all the best ways. Pockets of cream cheese poked through in the frosting easing the taste buds from a complete overload. The lattes were great, everything was great. You could taste the love & craft in every bite. Another tasty stop in our Illinois Adventure.
