Finally had the chance to do a custom creation to get my feet wet again after such a long hiatus because of my cancer. So I'm back in the game guys! Please think of me if you need a special occasion dessert, or if you just want a cake, cupcake, pie, cookies, etc. for yourself!! Remember my motto, life is short, EAT THE CAKE!!
50th Wedding Anniversary cake. Left is Victorian Sponge cake with strawberry jam and whipped Swiss buttercream with fresh strawberries in the layer. Right is the chocolate raspberry cake from the Great British Bake Off! I changed a couple of things, mainly substituting a whipped chocolate Swiss buttercream for the ganache to keep the consistency of richness and lightness between the two cakes. Best chocolate cake I've ever made, and it is now going to be my "go to" chocolate cake recipe for future orders! So if you have a craving for an absolutely beautiful and delicious chocolate cake, give me a holler!!
I hope all of you are having a great 2022 thus far. My primary goal for this year is to rid my body of this cancer and to get back to doing things I love like baking, creating art, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends which was majorly interrupted by the pandemic because I am immunocompromised from the chemo. Whatever your personal goals are for 2022, I hope you achieve them all and that you are able to enjoy the returns! Cheers!
