Fresh green has just landed from Costa Rica and we’re excited to announce a new organic offering from a legendary producer of sustainable coffee AND leader in rainforest conservation. La Hacienda La Amistad was established in 1937, and has been producing organic coffee and produce since long before the time of “Organic Certification”.
This Reserve conserves approximately 23,465 acres of virgin rainforest. The land is divided into small areas for organic coffee banana and mango cultivation, comprising only 5% of the total acreage. The remaining 95% of this land holding is dedicated to being a nature preserve. “La Amistad” means “friendship” in Spanish, and this serves as a perfect description of the relationship between nature and humans in the Reserve.
