Something spooky broke in last night and turned our cinnamon rolls into ghosts and made spider webs on our brownies.

But, don't worry, they left our new cinnamon roll trio featuring classic, pumpkin spice, and apple c***r alone.

For spooky and not so spooky gluten-free baked goodies, visit us at the East Haven Farmers Market from 8:30-1:30pm today!

Meet our flock!

Monk is one of our "cheese birds" from this spring and is by far our most beautiful and calm hen.

Her name is short for Monks Head cheese, otherwise known as Tête de Moine.

Monk's feathers are black with iridescent blueish-green plumage and is one of our two hens who have furry feet!

Monk is a true middle child. Sandwiched between our other young chicks this spring, it took her awhile to find her footing. While all her siblings are clamoring for treats or attention, Monk can be found hanging out along the peripheral, trying hard not to rock the boat.

In flock hierarchy, you might say that Monk is low in the pecking order, that being said, she is a great big sister and protector to the 4 chicks that came after her this spring.

Monk proudly represents the only chicken in our flock who disregards the pecking order. She has never been bullied, nor has she ever bullied another hen.

She lays a beautiful deep chocolate brown colored egg. Officially known as a Midnight Majesty Maran, she is just Monk to us.

Missed us this week?

With the infamous nor'easter forcast we hunkered down with the chickens, the dog, and the toddler - and we did not bake a single thing.

We stayed in and enjoyed a delightful coffee cake from earlier in the week, along with some of the last of our summer veggies.

Now that the storm may or may not be past us, today is the perfect time to order for pick-up on October 3rd and 4th!

We are offerring:

Artisan Bread
Pumpkin Bread
Cinnamon Rolls
Coffee Cake (full size & mini)
Cookies

Come see us in person this month on:

Sunday, October 4th - East Haven Farmers Market
Saturday, October 10th - Guilford Artisan Market
Sunday, October 11th - East Haven Farmers Market
October 15th - 18th - Gilmore Girls Firelight Event
