We now have 1lb glass jars! Although they don’t have the convenience of a drip-free squeeze spout, glass jars are reusable and easier to use if the honey crystallizes (either heat in a warm water bath or use a spoon.) If you return an empty glass jar, we will give you a $1 refund or credit towards a new one!

We extracted our Spring/early Summer honey this weekend! Right now we only have a *limited supply* of 1.5lb plastic squeeze bottles, but will bottle more as soon as the glass jars arrive. Because this is a larger size than the 1lb we normally sell, they are $15 instead of $10. We will have these available in our driveway (or doorstep if it’s raining) while supplies last!

Spring has sprung! All three hives made it through the winter and two were strong enough to split into nucs. We’ll be able to add honey supers soon, probably this week 🤞

If you are a homeowner, please consider delaying your first lawn mowing (and hold off on the Round-Up!!) so our pollinators can forage on dandelion. 🐝

Is crystallized honey your thing? It’s great for spreading on toast, spooning into hot tea, baking, and brewing! Crystallization is a natural phenomenon that happens over time but is accelerated by exposure to colder temps. Depending on what the bees have foraged on some years the honey can be more prone to crystallizing than others. If you need liquid honey, you can gently reheat. We prefer the double boiler method: submerging bottles in water that is around 120° F will melt the honey but not damage the bottles.
