He is Risen! ✝️🌿

This Easter, we’re reminded that hope is alive, love never fails, and new life is always possible through Jesus.

To our incredible volunteers and faithful supporters of Cecil and Grace Bean’s Soup Kitchen—thank you. Because of your compassion, countless individuals in our community experience not just a meal, but dignity, care, and the love of Christ in action.

Just as Easter tells the story of resurrection and renewal, you help bring that same hope to life every single day. Your generosity and service are a powerful reflection of God’s grace.

May your hearts be filled with peace, your homes with joy, and your lives with the hope that comes from the risen Savior.

Happy Easter! 💛

Serving at Cecil & Bean’s Soup Kitchen

Giving back, one meal at a time.

This incredible YMSL Wayne mother & son team spent time volunteering at Cecil & Bean’s Soup Kitchen ( and Grace Bean's Soup Kitchen ), helping prepare and package meals for those in need. From organizing food to working side by side in the kitchen, their efforts are making a meaningful difference in our community.

Moments like these are what YMSL is all about, service, connection, and compassion. This is what it's all about!

Listen to the statistics we learned today about the 2nd Wednesday volunteers from Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe.

Since 2003, volunteers from the church have never missed serving their meal to our guests. They bring every part of the meal, prep it, serve it, and then clean up the kitchen and dining room.

And, the more amazing stat is over the 23 years, they’ve purchased, prepared and served over 32,000 meals to our Norristown community!

What an incredible commitment to our soup kitchen work. THANK YOU!

What a great group of volunteers! These young people were a privilege to serve with last Saturday morning.

While many of their peers were sleeping in on a Saturday morning, a team of volunteers from Plymouth Whitmarsh High School’s National Honor Society were busy with breakfast at Cecil and Grace Bean's Soup Kitchen in Norristown.

"The soup kitchen, in particular, allows people who volunteer to see the immediate impact of their work on people in the community, and how grateful everyone who comes in is to receive a hot meal for free,” said PWHS junior Max Tobin, who led the effort.

The team helped make and serve more than 130 meals.
