After nearly five decades of history in Norman, Urban Management Restaurants announces the sale of the Norman property and the last day of service we will be Sunday 8/30. We hope to see you before closing our doors one last time.
For us, this carries a significance that goes far beyond the doors of one restaurant. Norman is where the Interurban story began.

In 1976, Robert “Rosser” Ross and Rusty Loeffler opened the original Interurban in Norman inside the city’s historic inter-urban trolley station. Their vision was simple: create a welcoming neighborhood restaurant where good food, good drinks and good people could come together. That first location became the foundation for a brand that would grow throughout Oklahoma and serve generations of guests.

The decision to sell the Norman property was not an easy one. Restaurants are ultimately about people, and we are incredibly grateful for the managers, team members and longtime employees who have poured so much into this location. We are equally grateful to the Norman community, who celebrated birthdays and graduations with us, met friends for dinner, made Interurban apart of your OU game day, and made Interurban part of your lives.

While this chapter in Norman is coming to a close, the Interurban story continues. We remain committed to honoring the spirit Rosser and Rusty created.

To our Norman team, our longtime guests and the entire Norman community: thank you for being such an important part of our history.

Norman will always be where Interurban began.
