Update: Business as usual for the next few weeks. Due to some scheduling conflicts and loss of staff, Our A/C at the restaurant was just replace, The A/C at what will soon be Vang Go Pantry was just repaired, Our main Beverage cooler behind our bar broke down and we spent almost $1k trying repair until throwing in the towel and ordering a new replacement, Our main Double Door reach in broke down in Late June and is now has been repaired and coming back to the Bistro. I made the necessary decision to take some much needed time off starting the second week of August. After the break we will get back to all items below.

Announcement 🙌🙌🙌🤩🤩🤩
1st. Thank you all for being so supportive and kind in our first year. It’s been a ride and we are grateful that you’ve joined us on this journey.

2nd. 🚀🚀We are a month past our Year anniversary and it’s time to take all the lessons we’ve learned in year one and put them to use. We are about to go through some changes. Think of a cool caterpillar 🐛 going through its molting stage to become a Butterfly or cool Moth 🤷🏻‍♂️🦋 More details to come.

3rd. New date to be announced! We gave away our kitchen before and we would like to do it again before our molting stage. We will be making over 300+ bags to give away on TBD. More details coming soon.

4th. 🚨🚨🚨The Current Menu is leaving on July 28th. 🚨🚨We will begin a series of Pop-ups and Concept menus while we take a deep dive into our past year of business and focus on building stronger cost systems and training based on the ups + downs and the lefts+rights we’ve been through in year one. We look forward to seeing you all soon. Come and get the menu while you still can😁 🥲🔪🍴🍜

This is Jeff Smith. I first met Jeff at Yardhouse years ago when I was bartending. At that time he was with Economic Development in Virginia Beach. As time went on as it does, Jeff and I became friends in conversation. Mostly simplistic about how is the family and how is business?

The truth is the conversations stayed there but became deeper conversations of the two. Through my journey of leaving Yardhouse and the Shack and moving into the role at Boil Bay.

Jeff would continue to check in on me. How is business? How is the family? These two questions have been a bond that I can say still exist to this day.

The conversation is on the same two questions but always stay authentic. No small talk. We always shoot straight. It is highly important to have great people like this in your life. A big cheers to the unquestionably authentic people in our lives. Let’s get it. Vang Go Hospitality.

To celebrate the greatest experiment of all time. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
We will be closed July 4th -8th to celebrate 250 years of building something greater than what was.

As we move into the next 250 we are faced with our differences and challenges but will ultimately come through them stronger than ever. Cheers to another 250.

The "American experiment" is the foundational political concept that a diverse populace can successfully govern itself through democratic principles, individual liberty, and the rule of law, rather than by a monarchy or elite ruling class.

Coined at the nation's founding, it remains an ongoing journey to balance liberty with equality.

Bad News and Good News.

Bad News : We will be Closed today 😞June 11th
Our A/C is still not working. Yesterday we had the new unit delivered. We had a big crane here to place it on our roof. Once installed they found there was a faulty part. 🤦🏻‍♂️ No A/C today. Heat Health Advisory peak Heat index at 107 😳🔥

Good News: Today is our 1 Year Anniversary. We planned on having a little special for you all today. With Free Churros and $2 Cold Drinking Beers.

🚨We will push it to next Thursday. June 18th. I’ll be cooking all day next Thursday and will be sending out more than just free churros. Extra things to send out and for you all to try.

In the meantime stay safe out there in this heat. Hydrate and be happy. 😊

We should be all fixed by tomorrow🙏Praying the part arrived today.
