The Breakfast Cottage, could easily be referred to as, “The best kept secret in Nokomis!” Just look for the bright yellow building that looks like a quaint little cottage on stilts with a raised deck shadowed by a beautiful live oak tree. When you walk in the front door you immediately feel as you have just entered a bright, cheerful, whimsical cottage where diners sit on brightly colored antique wooden chairs and the walls are decorated with the work of local artists. Quite often the customers refer to The Breakfast Cottage as “their happy place!” Many have referred to the deck as the “enchanted garden!”

The Breakfast Cottage is family owned and operated and specializes in house-made, back-to-basics food. They insist on using only high quality, unprocessed, delicious real food that their customers keep coming back for! All served by a friendly, professional service staff. Hours of operation are 7:30am till 2:00pm every day. Serving both breakfast & lunch all day. Diners come for their lobster/shrimp filled Key West Omelet, Eggs Benedict with home-made hollandaise sauce, great big fluffy Blueberry Pancakes with lemon-curd ricotta cheese topping just to name a few of the many favorites.

The constant feedback received by the owners, Bob & Brenda Hoover, is “the atmosphere is enchanting,” “the food is delicious,” “the service is wonderful!” and “We have just been Wowed!”
