The Party Pan

The Party Pan The Party Pan specializes in upscale al fresco dining. Our mission is to create great food and a fun atmosphere by cooking for crowds in large paella pans.

As most of already know, or probably guessed by now, Randy Smith and I stopped doing gigs after last year. We had tried to sell the entire business, but no one was interested. So, we are going to sell off all the individual items. We have paella pans, burners, propane tanks, prep tables, and many other miscellaneous things. We are offering these things to friends and loyal customers first at priced to sell cost. After Friday of this week, all items left over will be posted on Marketplace, so if you're interested please let us know. Thanks!

As some of you may know, Randy and I had planned to run The Party Pan for only 5 years. That would have put us out of business after last year. But, since last year was what it was, we have decided to do 2 more public events this year along with private ones that might come our way, and then hang it up. We have had a great time over the years, and made tons of new friends, but it's time to move on. So, we will be at Schnabeltier in Rochester on August 13th, and Byler Lane on August 27th. We will be posting before each event so everyone has the times and the menus. We hope we get to see all of our old friends out on the road one last time. Thanks for everything!

Well, somehow we dodged the rain! Good turnout for a night that didn't look so good. Thanks to everyone that came out to Byler Lane, we had a great time!

As some of you know, but probably most do not, next year will be the last year of The Party Pan, at least with Randy and I running it. We started with the idea from day one that it was a five year plan, and next year is year five (already?). Anyway, we will be out in full force next year, and probably trying to get as many bookings as we can.
The reason for this post is to see if anyone is interested in picking-up where we leave off, and running the business themselves. For those that are curious, without an actual food truck, overhead is very low and inspections are very simple to pass. Our model is based on carrying little to no inventory, and purchasing on an event by event basis. We, and (we are pretty sure) our current partners would like to see the business live on.
If anyone is interested in learning more and /or possibly becoming the new owner, please let us know. For the right deal we are willing to train any potential buyer at any and all events that we do next year. The business would come with all equipment (including vehicle and trailer), all of the recipes (with full rights), and all training. We would also make sure that we hooked you up with our current partners, as well as help you to seek out new ones.
Honestly, this business has been great for us and we have had an absolute blast, and can really be anything that the right people would want to make of it. Thanks, and we will see everyone when the weather gets nice!!!!!!

We would just like to say a big THANK YOU to two of our partners. Fruit Hills Winery and Orchard (who we just started working with this year) is the first one. The people there are fantastic, and above and beyond to help us out and make us feel welcome! The second is Schnabeltier, one of our first and best partners since we started. We are thankful to get to work with the Schnab Squad and all the great people in Rochester!
