Have you tried “Battera” yet ? Unlike nigiri sushi you are familiar, Battera is one of oshizushi or ‘pressured sushi’, made by stacking vinegar-pickled mackerel with finely sliced layers of mackerel and konbu in a wooden mold, compressed together by weight into a tightly packed sushi stack.
