Our two local suppliers for fresh lettuce are out until sometime next week due to a weather interruption in planting. Until they have safe lettuce in stock for us again, we are going to switch to last month's appetizer.

Strawberry soup is a refreshing, sweet, and creamy dish served chilled as an appetizer, brunch item, or dessert. It is made by blending strawberries with cream, yogurt, and a touch of cinnamon, clove, and vanilla.

We picked up some lovely blueberries at the market for this month's salad, and some honey is in our retail area for non market days. Buying direct from the grower is best- but buying from a local business who bought from the grower is a close second. ;)
