To all of our loyal Goodfellas customers and supporters,
I want to personally address a recent experience that was shared regarding our restaurant. First, I want to say that I sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported Goodfellas over the years. Many of you have been with this business for a long time, and I understand that changes can be frustrating—especially when they affect prices, portions, or policies you’ve grown used to.
I also want to apologize for any customer who felt disrespected or unheard. Whether we agree or disagree, every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with respect and professionalism. That includes concerns about pricing, service fees, and any changes within the business.
Regarding the additional charge that was mentioned, our intention was never to upset customers or make anyone feel taken advantage of. Like many businesses today, operating costs including wages, food costs, supplies, and other expenses have increased significantly. Some changes have been made in an effort to keep the business running and continue serving the community. However, I understand that if these changes are not clearly communicated, they can create confusion and frustration.
I have recently removed that (essential fee).
What concerns me most is that a customer walked away feeling dismissed and unwelcome. That is not the experience we want anyone to have. We value feedback, even when it’s criticism because it helps us improve.
Goodfellas has been part of this community for years, and I respect the people who helped build its reputation. I’m committed to listening, learning, and making sure our customers feel appreciated. I encourage anyone with concerns to speak with us directly so we can have honest conversations and work toward better experiences moving forward.
