HOG WILD BBQ

It’s been four days since you left us. It started as a regular Monday morning like always. I got up went to work then my life would change for ever with a phone call from mom at 7:14am. Something is wrong with dad! As I came back home to find out he had left us. It’s not fair! I didn’t get to say good bye to my best friend.
All I want is my dad back.
I miss him so much. I have lots of people telling me he was a great man. I knew first hand. He was my best friend. He taught me carpentry and since he retired wasn’t a day went by where he would say where did you work today. Oh and don’t worry if he missed me he would be out looking through the dumpster to see what I was throwing away from jobs to see if he could harvest any treasures. Through the years he taught me how to be a man. How to hunt and how to take care of family first. He didn’t have much but he use to say there isn’t much but if you want it you can have it. No matter what I asked him for growing up if he couldn’t get it right there and then it eventually showed up some how. From old mini bikes to the newest and best saws for work. We always managed to get done what he set himself to do. I have some big shoes to fill and now i have to learn the roll of the man of the house. Even know I 39 years old he still knew how to put me in my place! Lmao.
Over that past years he took care of mom day and night and they were inseparable except when the firehouse called! He was up and runnin even if it was just phone call to fix something or show new member around or his favorite the fund drive where they brought him his chair and he sat at the intersection 6/25 with that dam rubber boot guarding it with his life.
I was so glad I was able to bring him to Tioga a yearly hunting trip this last spring. Him and I have been going for just about 20 years and the last few he hasn’t been able to because he was taking care of mom. This year we were able to get care for mom for two days and was able to get him away where he was able to shoot a wild boar. I have the video that I will keep forever of that trip. He loved hunting and fishing as well as weekly trips to the range. He loved showing Hunter and Jackson the sport as well and both have grown to men who also loved him to death. Both boys were able to attend the trip as well. It’s one none of us will forget any time soon.
He was and still will be my hero.
I love you buddy to the moon and back! Rest easy buddy. I got it!

Just wanted to put out a quick note,
Hog Wild BBQ was contracted on 6/17 to cater a party for a Newtown resident at Tredwell park, we have catered many events here. The contracted time was 3:30 to eat. Two days before the evet we were contacted and he stated he wanted to move appetizers to 2:30, I advised we had an earlier event and would try to do our best. With 3:30 being the original time to eat we aim to be there an hour before to get things ready. We had and earlier event in Orange Ct. serving at noon. During the ride the Treadwell event the team ran into traffic on Rt. 34 with some kayak races along the river. The customer was called and texted saying there was traffic, and we were running behind. Also had my team reach out as well telling them their exact eta. HE was rude and swearing at the guys over the phone. I was getting the same reaction from him via phone and text. We arrived at 3:40 at the park. Explained we would expedite the food service and apologized for the late service beyond our control.
While interacting with the team Jackson my son (19) who grew up BBQ, was trying to calm the gentleman down as he was getting all his friends at the event amped up. He was yelling at the team and just making for a growing and difficult situation.
He asked Jackson to call me (Bill) and Jackson did. He grabbed Jackson’s phone only to yell and threaten me over the phone saying how he wants me there to refund his money now. I explained I was over an hour away at another event and to enjoy his event and I would call Monday if he wished to talk about the event. HE stated he would be at my house tonight to collect. He then threw Jackson’s phone.
He asked for serving spoons for the food, Willis my nephew (27) and five-year helper at Hog Wild gave one of his friends the serving utensils. He again asked Jackson for spoons when Jackson said Willis gave them to his friend. He then grabbed Jackson and threw him against the truck denting the door, as Jackson fell to the ground Willis said don’t touch him was then grabbed and punched in the face 4x.
As the guys scrambled to retreat to the truck for safety his buddies were in the smoker and back bed of the truck taking what every they could grab. The team left the park with the smoker doors still open.
The team had a drop off order in which food was still in smoker after this one. After they left found that most of the food was stolen for the other event. That was a call I never made to tell the customer their BBQ was stolen.
They came back to the kitchen to regroup. The team was instructed to go to the Newtown PD to make a report. I had already called 911 to report what was happening. Upon Police arrival at the park the guy the host had already left the park.
After EMT checked the guys, a report was taken and there was an arrest warrant issued for him. He turned himself on 6/21 on assault charges and due in court next week. Will has since been back to Dr and has a concussion and cervical sprain.
So now that he’s been arrested his friends are finding pleasure in taking to social media and giving up 1-star reviews and saying it was us and food was raw and made them sick. Well since our food is cooked low and slow there is no way for anything to be raw. They are saying the chicken could fly away. They are looking at the smoke ring, those birds had been in there for 9 hours at 275 at that point.
Here is where I need your help! We also had a Google issue earlier this year where they lost all our online reviews. If anyone knows me or has used Hog Wild, please give us a review on Google, Facebook or YELP. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
