🧿Eye cashew lookin at me 🥜 …. Oh yeah. I said it! 🤣 But seriously- let’s talk about these nuts. Our Cashew Lentil Bowl is not only delicious but it’s based off of the Indian Ayurvedic approach to nutrition; balancing body & mind and intentionally including the “6 tastes” to satisfy your doshas and keep you balanced with the right energy all day.
This batch sits atop some yummy quinoa with garlic, paprika lentils, fresh cucumbers and of course a healthy serving of roasted cashews. Finish it off with some fresh tzatziki (on the side) and you’re ready to balance all elements of your body universe. Get wild and throw a lime around there to spritz it up for round 2, because it’s a hefty serving.
Our snacks, superfood salads, & even baked goodies are put together with more than just the idea of mixing flavors. We intend to provoke conscious thoughts on what we put into our bodies and at what quantities. It’s about choosing whole foods that not only taste good in combination - but keep you balanced, healthy, and energized . It’s also about setting us in proper mindset for the next meal and it’s right in alignment with what our mission is at the RR Cafe.
With the weather being super gloomy, and these cloudy moon days surrounding us- I thought we could use an extra boost of brain food and natural mood boosters. That being said, cashews will be in multiple items the next few weeks
due to their concentrated levels of tryptophan (the natural amino acid that assists with serotonin production) . Conversely, they’re also a natural source of melatonin so it looks like a nice nap may be in your future 🔮🥠
Lentils are also a secret superfood and great for heart health, cholesterol, and have a low glycemic index to keep a steady healthy stream of glucose flowing to your brain.
