25 years ago today, so many of us woke up to a day that would change us forever.
Some lost loved ones. Some enlisted. Some were directly connected to the events of that day. And all of us remember where we were when the world suddenly felt very different.
It was a day of unimaginable heartbreak, but also a day when people came together, helped one another, and showed incredible courage.
At My Sidewalk Cafe, we try to carry that spirit of love and community with us every day. Today, we want to especially recognize the local heroes who continue to show up when our community needs them most.
Our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS, hospital staff, medical clinic employees, and all emergency personnel who run toward the chaos while the rest of us hope to get away from it.
Thank you for facing some of the hardest moments our families experience with courage, professionalism, and grace. We may never be able to fully express what that means to us.
