365 days. I’m sitting here emotional and not finding the words to express the pain, the weight in your gut, knowing this is going to be bad. Of knowing, this is going to take time and resources you don’t have. 51 weeks.Since filing for an SBA loan, not a handout, but a loan and still no money or help. 7. The number of people we had to let go with no notice while waiting on a loan to help rebuild. 1 dream to have a shop that brings generations together. 1 family that will not stop until we are open back up. 1 community that deserves a local ice cream shop that provides a place for memories to be made. 1 hurricane that tried to take it all away. I know it’s been too long, I’m sorry it’s taking this long, but I can promise, I am stubborn, you will get a Creamery, and we are going to be stronger than ever. We miss your faces, your smiles, and excitement.

We are so excited to share with you guys that The Creamery on Broadway will be returning soon! Thanks to your generous donations and support we can begin the journey of making this the sweetest little corner in downtown Newport! There's still a ton of work to do, we don't have a projected opening date BUT we couldn't wait to share the news. Hope to see you guys real soon!

🍦 Hello Friends 🍦If you’ve been downtown the last few days you’ve probably seen some changes to our little shop. It’s with a heavy heart that we say, we are still in limbo. Having to let go of our current location, spending months dealing with the SBA, and simply not knowing what the future holds for our little ice cream shop has been so difficult. Although we are closed right now, and although we don’t know what the future holds, or a timeline on reopening or even where. Please know we are not giving up, we are spending so much time and energy working towards opening new doors for you all. Keep the hope, keep supporting small, keep supporting downtown (we know traffic is crazy) and keep loving ice cream. We are still fighting, it’s just taking a bit longer. Hey Friends, Family, Customers, Community and Followers. We have some good and bad news. The bad news is that so much damage was done to our little shop and office that we have a long road ahead of us to be able to open again. The reality is, being a new shop and not having a lot of financial wiggle room, it’s not going to be a quick, easy fix. We maxed everything out to open last year, and we simply need to get crafty again to reopen. This will take time. We have a great landlord, and a lot of great support from all of you. Please keep an eye on our socials for any updates, but for now we will be temporarily closed for a long while. The good news! We at Snowbird have been able to absorb some of your favorite faces from the Creamery! Cincere, Ashley and Gracie have all made the decision to make the jump from ice cream to coffee! So please make sure to come, say hi and support them in this new venture. Please continue to pray for our area, families and businesses alike and support small businesses every chance you get. Check the link in the comments if you choose to support us in a financial way as well, no pressure. We love you guys, we miss your faces already, and hope to see you guys in a few months.

Friends, our beautiful ice cream shop is now piled up outside for trash collection. It was a total loss. Like many others in this area we do not have flood insurance. The only way we can rebuild is with a lot of help from friends. We have started a GoFundMe to raise the funds necessary to bring The Creamery on Broadway back to life. We want nothing more than to have another opportunity to serve this community and bring a little bit of sweetness to our beautiful downtown.
Thanks so much to everyone that has volunteered their time, effort, and energy into helping us get this mess cleaned up. You guys are amazing and so so appreciated.

A little update for you all. Water levels are down but there is still so much to do. We have a strong band of volunteers but so many are needed for us all to get through this as a community. We have a long road ahead of us, a lot of damage was taken at the Creamery, stock is gone, equipment was destroyed. We ask for prayers, patience and that you find any way you can to help all of our small businesses.
