Mo's has teamed up with the Newport Fishermen's Wives organization for the 2024 Newport Seafood & Wine Festival. They'll be serving Mo's Clam Chowder, Slumgullion, and Seafood chowder. They'll be there all weekend, so stop in and support the Newport Fishermen's Wives.

Please don’t let this happen to our fisheries off the coast of Oregon! Please get involved! This has far reaching effects.

Even the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) knows that fish and fishing won't occur within gigantic floating turbine farms in our ocean. This depiction comes from a BOEM report and shows how floating platforms are connected to the ocean floor and each other. Just picture the windmills as 800 feet tall, the anchor tethers to the ground even longer and then the transmission lines connecting the turbines and then connecting the farm to the shore. Then imagine what happens with these massive structures during winter storms in the Pacific ocean, or worse- the "Big One" - please don't be fooled by the "green" energy promise of offshore floating wind- the only green is the obscene amount of money being thrown around to fast-track this boondoggle.

Sometimes it’s baked oysters and butter that hits the spot, don’t ask my why, it’s a “born in the PNW thing” I guess. The best oysters are Yaquina Bay raised at Oregon Oyster farms.
