We finally have another update!

The contractors have officially started replacing the roof, and the work is expected to be completed by the end of July. Once the roof is finished, we can begin rebuilding the interior.

We know this process has taken much longer than any of us expected. Unfortunately, the delays have been outside of our control, but we’re hopeful that things will start moving much more quickly from here.

Thank you for your patience, support, and encouragement throughout this journey. We miss seeing all of you and can’t wait to welcome everyone back through our doors!

We will keep everyone posted once we have another update.

Many of our dear customers have been asking for an update … here it is 😊

Unfortunately, there was extensive damage done to the roof and water damage to the interior walls. The mitigation part is nearly complete, and the contractors are waiting for permit approval from the city to begin. We are expecting to be closed for at least another 4 months. We will provide another update once things are moving along.

We miss everyone and we can’t wait to serve our delicious food to our amazing customers.

Thank you everyone for all your support!

This evening Mr. Gyros & Burgers was hit by a car. The car destroyed our power meter and struck the gas line. This caused a fire on the outside of the building from the ruptured gas line, which led to flames on the rear of the building, and from there breached the inside of the building. Everybody got out safe. Thank you to the Newport News Fire Department and Newport News Police Department for responding so quickly.
Thank you to everyone that has reached out to us, we truly appreciate it. We will obviously be closed and will keep everyone informed once we know more.
