Basilic Restaurant, located on Balboa Island in Newport Beach California, first opened its doors by chef/owner Bernard Althaus in February 1997. The intimate and romantic 24-seat restaurant has since proved that good things do in fact come in small packages. taurant's menu changes as new ideas and inspirations come to Bernard. Because the availability of organic and fresh product varies and appetites change, we modify our specials according to the season. Specials such as the soupe du jour and the salade speciale, as well as a fish and a viande special change on a nightly basis.
