❤️ BIG JOE'S TABLE — SUNDAY TALK
They saw the dinner. We saw everything it took to make it happen.
Thursday night was one of those nights.
The dining room was full. Wine glasses were raised. Plates were coming out beautifully. Conversations were flowing, people were laughing, and somewhere along the way you could feel it...
We had created something special. 🍷❤️
Our QUILT Wine Experience was everything we hoped it would be.
But today's Sunday Talk isn't really about the wine.
It's about this picture.
Because this picture was taken after much of the work was done.
What you don't see are the hours before the first guest ever sat down.
The planning. The prep. The chopping. The cooking. The wine. The polishing. The table settings. The last-minute changes. The “Are we ready?” followed by “Alright y'all... LET'S GO.” 😂
Then the doors open.
And suddenly, all of that work has to look effortless.
That's hospitality.
Our guests shouldn't have to think about what's happening behind the scenes. They're supposed to sit down, take that first sip, enjoy that next course, laugh with the people at their table and have an experience.
And judging by the smiles we saw Thursday night...
Mission accomplished. ❤️
But when the night was winding down, I looked around at this team and felt something bigger than relief.
Pride.
Not because everything was perfect.
But because everybody had a role to play, and when it mattered, they showed up for each other.
Kitchen. Front of house. Bar. Dish. Leadership.
Different personalities. Different responsibilities. One restaurant.
One team.
And THAT is what made Thursday night possible.
To every guest who trusted us with your evening, thank you. You could have spent your time and money anywhere, and you chose our table.
And to this crew...
Look at what y'all did. ❤️
This is the part of owning a restaurant that a sales report will never be able to measure.
So today's question around the table is a little different:
When was the last time someone on YOUR team—at work, at home, in your family or in your community—really showed up when you needed them?
Give them their flowers in the comments. 🌹
Sometimes people need to hear that their effort was noticed.
From all of us at Big Joe's Grille, thank you for pulling up a chair at our table this Sunday.
Until we gather around the table again...
There's always room for you here.
Meet me at Big Joe's... THAT'S MY SPOT. ❤️
