✨ It’s not just cakes here at Bundtiful Blessings! ✨

Last night, I stepped a little outside my usual baking box and tried my hand at Baklava for the very first time! 🍯🤎 Flaky layers of phyllo, buttery goodness, chopped nuts, and that sweet, sticky honey syrup… I’d say my first attempt turned out pretty sweet! 😍

But this pan was made for an even sweeter reason. 💕 It’s for an especially incredible woman who is retiring after 15 years of caring for others. What a beautiful legacy of compassion, service, and love!

As she closes this chapter and begins a brand-new season, I pray that God blesses her abundantly in all that comes next—and what better way to start retirement than with a pan full of her favorite sweet treat? 🥰🙏

Congratulations on 15 amazing years of caregiving and a well-deserved retirement! 💐

💭 If I Weren’t Baking...

Okay, y'all...based on what you've gotten to know about me so far:

If I weren't baking, what do you think I'd be doing? 👀

Seriously—don't read ahead yet. 😂 Drop your guess in the comments first!

Because outside of baking, there's another world I absolutely LOVE...

📚 Books.

If I manage to muster up even the tiniest bit of downtime between working full-time, being a mama, running Bundtiful Blessings, and just...life...there's a pretty good chance you'll find me with my head in a book. 🥰

And if we're getting really specific?

Give me romance. Give me fantasy. Give me both together. ✨🐉🌙❤️

Romantasy has my heart.

Apparently, though, I have a very particular talent for choosing a series, becoming completely emotionally invested in the characters, devouring every available book...
..only to discover...

THE SERIES ISN'T FINISHED.

WHY. DO. I. KEEP. DOING. THIS. TO. MYSELF?! 😭😂

Now I'm emotionally attached, have approximately 1,472 theories about what happens next, and the next book comes out sometime between next year and the end of eternity.

But here's something you may not know about me:

I would LOVE to be an author one day. 📖✨

There's something about creating an entire world from nothing—characters you fall in love with, stories that make you feel something, a little romance, a little danger, a little magic and wonder—that absolutely fascinates me.

Maybe one day there'll be a novel sitting beside the Bundt cake. Who knows? 😉📚🧁

But now I really want to know...

Before you read my answer, what career or creative path did you picture for me based on my personality and what you've gotten to know about me?

And fellow readers—PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one who repeatedly starts unfinished series and then acts personally betrayed when there isn't another book. 😂📖💕

🧁 What I Thought Owning a Bakery Would Be Like vs. Reality 😂

When I started Bundtiful Blessings, I had a very cute idea of what owning my own little bakery would look like...

🌸 What I thought:
“I’ll get to make my own hours!”

😂 Reality:
Apparently I chose ALL OF THEM.

Because here's the little detail I sometimes forget to mention...

I also work a full-time job. And I'm a mama. 😂

So “making my own hours” usually means bakery hours begin when the regular workday ends, dinner is handled, mama duties are done(ish)...and suddenly it's 11:47 p.m. and I'm still in the kitchen decorating Bundt cakes.

🌸 What I thought:
“I'll spend my days peacefully baking pretty desserts.”

😂 Reality:
Bake. Cool. Decorate. Package. Label. Photograph. Answer messages. Shop for ingredients. Realize I'm out of ONE thing. Go back to the store. Repeat.

Meanwhile, flour and powdered sugar have somehow reached surfaces that were not even involved in the baking process. 😂

🌸 What I thought:
“I love baking! This is going to be so much fun!”

😂 Reality:
I DO love baking.

What I apparently failed to consider was the approximately 47 bowls, 23 spatulas, 16 piping tips, 4 measuring cups and my last shred of sanity waiting in the sink.

I. HATE. DISHES.
There. I said it. 😂

🌸 What I thought:
“I'll be my own boss!”

😂 Reality:
My boss is actually the tiny voice in my head at 11 p.m. saying...

“Hey...didn't you need to print those labels?”

😐

And yet...

After working my regular job, being Mama, running a household, and then stepping into the kitchen to become The Baker...

I still choose this. 💕

It's messy. It's chaotic. It's exhausting sometimes. There are late nights, emergency grocery runs, powdered-sugar explosions and a truly unreasonable number of dishes.

But then I hand someone a dessert I created for their birthday. I see someone come back to my vendor table because they remembered me from the last event. I get a message telling me how much their family loved something I made.

And I remember exactly why I do it. 🥹

I'm not just baking desserts.

I'm slowly building something I love—in the margins of an already very full life.

And maybe one day those margins will become something even bigger. 🌸

Until then...

Full-time employee. Mama. Baker. Dreamer. Professional dish-hater. 😂🧁💕

🌸 Meet the Baker | The Heart Behind Bundtiful Blessings

Hi, friends! 🤍 I thought it might be time to introduce you to a little more than the person behind the mixing bowl.

Someone recently asked me what feminine archetype I embody, and the answer I received was Mother. Mystic. Queen. And the more I sat with those words, the more I realized how beautifully they describe the different pieces of who I am.

🌷 The Mother — I’m a nurturer at heart. I love deeply, care deeply, and there’s something in me that naturally wants to make people feel seen, celebrated, cared for, and at home.

✨ The Mystic — Maybe not in the way you might initially think. My life is deeply rooted in my faith. I’m a dreamer, a deep thinker, a storyteller, and someone who still believes there is wonder in this world. I love fantasy and the idea of magic, but to me, magic is simply the belief in something that is true—and I believe in HIM. 🤍

👑 The Queen — This is probably the part of myself I’m still growing into. Leadership, vision, courage, building something meaningful, and learning that you can be both soft and strong. You can lead with grace without making yourself small.

And somehow, all three of these women show up in my little bakery.

Bundtiful Blessings was never meant to simply be about cake. It has always been about creating something with my hands, loving people through it, walking where God leads me, and trusting that even the smallest seed of purpose can grow into something beautiful.
