Quick shout out as today is our 10 year anniversary for our first business venture BPs Shuck Shack. What started out as a wild idea from a dear friend in the depths of winter snowballed into buying an Oscar Mayer hot dog cart and retrofitting into Maines first oyster food cart 10 years ago to this day. From there the momentum kept going into hiring our first employee Greg Buffum and adding another food cart, wedding catering business, oyster distribution, oyster farm and ultimately our brick in mortar restaurant you have all come to enjoy, Shuck Station Raw Bar (RIP River bottom raw bar 😂). It’s been an incredible ride and we feel eternally grateful for all of the meaningful relationships we’ve made along the way. From other food cart vendors that have grown into successful restaurants, to all the brave patrons who trusted a naive 25 year old slinging oysters out of a food cart on the corner of commercial street, Thank you all for your continued support!
Also been on the look out in the coming weeks for a one day food cart pop up in Portland as we go back to the roots and work the corner again. Cheers!! 🍻 🦪⚔️🎉

As most of you may already know, our community lost an institution over night. Schooner Landing holds a near and dear place in our hearts, and is a fundamental part of who and where we are today. Schooner is where I ate my first oyster. It’s where I shucked oysters on free oyster Friday and for the Pemaquid Oyster Festival alongside my father and other volunteers of the community (and won the state of Maine shucking championship a couple times..) It’s where I met my wife and where I made countless friendships. It’s the home of everything rated PG to Mature Audiences Only, which will be a stories shared over a cold beverage and not on a social media platform. And I know my experience and sentiment is shared amongst thousands of others that have eaten, drank and questionably danced at Schooner Landing over the last 20+ years Scott and Charlie owned it. It’s absolutely a gut wrenching loss, but I’m so grateful to have been able to enjoy it for exactly what it was. And knowing how supportive our community is I have full faith this establishment will be back and will still hold onto the charm that is

Our Story

It all started in 2015 when Brendan Parsons successfully retrofitted an Oscar Meyer’s hotdog cart and introduced the first oyster food cart to the State of Maine. Since the shucking began on the corner of Commercial and Pearl Street in Portland, BP’s Oysters has expanded to include two Portland-based food carts, a Newcastle restaurant, a Damariscotta farm, and an oyster distribution company.
