We know.
We’re not supposed to sell tickets to a birthday party, but here’s the thing. Mary wants to celebrate at the shop, partly to feel connected to her Mum this time around.

And we are doing so much other stuff in other places that a gesture of love to our Newburyport community feels right.

We’ll cook, we’ll serve, you pitch in and we party.

Hey it’s your pal Dan here. I’ve come to chat with you for a moment. I’ve been lucky enough to see quite a bit of live music in my life from the biggest to the littlest names playing all kinds of stuff. Every once in a while I come across a band that seems like they’ve captured lightning in a bottle. In 2008 it was The Low Anthem and in 2012 it was The Spirit Family Reunion. What I loved about both of these bands is that there was always a feeling that they were processing life and rendering it into art in real time. Like there was some direct channel to the divine flowing straight through them. 

And now from the hills of Charlottesville, Va come Palmyra.  This trio of magical humans is much more than the sum of their parts. While each member has their own voice when they play together it’s as if they were one single organism. Their fantastic debut album Restless released last year is only a starting point. These songs played when played live are filled with new twists and turns, their nooks and crannies are explored and reveal whole new canyons. It’s electric to witness. And we are so happy to be bringing them here to play a special show at Mandarava.  

Please join us in welcoming Palmyra to our little seaside town on Tuesday July 14th. We invite you to come early for a Communal Dinner celebrating the mid summer garden bounty and then stick around to watch these cats burn the house down!
