F I V E.
That's how many items were left on the stand when I closed up yesterday. FIVE. Out of everything I baked for our last regularly scheduled stand weekend of the season. ๐คฏ
And because I love a good breakdown of the numbers, let's talk about what that means I baked and YOU all bought...
๐ช 18 bags of Chocolate Chip Cookies
๐ช 10 bags of White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies
๐ 12 boxes of Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispies
๐ค 108 Oatmeal Cream Pies
๐ฏ 6 jars of Whipped Honey
๐ฅ 16 pans of Focaccia
โ 24 Cinnamon Silk Streusel Coffee Cakes
ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT OATMEAL CREAM PIES. I think I could make those things blindfolded at this point. ๐
I knew I was going big for our final weekend, but apparently you all took that as a personal challenge to make sure I didn't have a single thing to bring back into my house.
And honestly? I LOVE THAT FOR US. ๐
There's something pretty wild about standing in my kitchen looking at what feels like an unreasonable amount of baked goods, wondering if I've completely lost my mind, and then watching you all come through and prove that apparently my level of unreasonable is exactly right.
This season has taught me a LOT. About this business, about what I'm capable of, about what works, what doesn't, and most importantly, about the kind of community that has grown around this little honor-system stand.
And I don't take a bit of that for granted.
Now, before anyone starts thinking I'm crawling into a cave until spring, NOT SO FAST. ๐
The regularly scheduled Friday and Saturday stand days are done for the season, but I'll still be doing pop-up stand days throughout the fall and winter AND participating in community markets and events! You'll still have opportunities to grab your favorites, plus some special items I've been itching to play around with.
So this isn't goodbye. It's just me taking the weekly schedule off my plate and making room for a different kind of fun.
Thank you for one heck of a season, neighbors. ๐ค
