The Cake Bar

I barely got any content because the moment we announced we were open, the line never stopped 💕

A huge thank you to South Middle School South Middle School Newburgh PTG for inviting The Cake Bar to be part of such a special evening. It was an honor to help celebrate such an unforgettable milestone with so many amazing students and teachers.

On a personal note, this event meant even more because I got to watch my own daughter experience one of those moments she’ll remember forever. Being there as both a business owner and a proud mom is something I’ll never take for granted.

To everyone who recommends my business, mentions my name in rooms I’m not in, and speaks highly of The Cake Bar even when I’m not around....thank you. Your support and kind words are the reason opportunities like this continue to find me, and I will never stop being grateful. 🫶

Me: Yes, still over here baking.

I just wrapped up my summer semester, celebrated my daughter’s formal, award ceremony, and graduation, so I’ve been a little more present in real life than on social media.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that I don’t have to post every day for the right people to find me. Thank you for continuing to support me, recommend me, and trust me even when I’m a little quiet.

I’m still here… and yes, I’m still making cakes. 🤍

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

Autism does not look one way.
It does not sound one way.
It does not feel one way.

Every autistic person experiences the world differently. What brings comfort to one child may overwhelm another. What looks like behavior to some is often emotion, communication, or a need that is not easily expressed.

This month, I want to take a step back and create space for understanding. Not just awareness, but real understanding of the many different ways autism can look, feel, and be experienced.

Through this month, I’ll be sharing, learning, and opening up conversations around autism, starting with the person who has taught me the most about seeing the world differently, my daughter Malan.

Because the more we understand, the more we can support, accept, and create space for every unique mind 💙
