We’re serving up slow roasted Hot Beef or Turkey (the real stuff) Sandwiches, smothered in hot savory Gravy and served with Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans.

It’s chilly. It’s rainy. And it’s absolutely perfect for a hot breakfast, a cup of coffee, and letting somebody else do the cooking. 😉

Gathering place after ceremony has been changed..(see below)

There has been an unfamiliar silence at the Diner these past few weeks when sitting at the “Table of Knowledge.”

The conversations there almost always included something about Fibonacci, the river rats, those Pine Stump Savages… and maybe even something about an apple. 😉

Elon Howe was very well known for his boisterous conversations. He was perhaps even more well known for being an extraordinary violin maker.

We have had some pretty tough illnesses and losses at the Diner over the past year, and this one hits hard, too. Elon spent many years frequenting the Diner and, somewhere along the way, he truly became family to us. ❤️

Elon Howe passed away on September 1st at the incredible Newaygo County Compassion Home. At 95 years old, he certainly lived a life full of stories, adventures, friendships, and experiences. He was able to explore so much during his 95 years on this earth, and we feel incredibly lucky to have been a small part of his journey.

We’re going to miss hearing that unmistakable voice at the Table of Knowledge.

Friends and family are invited to join for a memorial this Sunday, 10AM, at Big Prairie Everett Cemetery. There will be a flyover ✈️🥰, followed by a meet-up at MoZ Inn (Morely ) for anyone who would like to join afterward.

Rest easy, Elon. The Table of Knowledge just won’t be quite the same without you. ❤️
