A Note from Margherita's Pizza

The news this week about our friends at Iron Hill hits close to home. It’s a stark reminder that in our world of flour-dusted aprons and hot ovens, even the most beloved institutions face challenges that can be difficult to overcome.

Since we first opened our doors in 1980, we’ve believed a pizza place is more than just a restaurant. It’s a place for family celebrations, for students grabbing a slice after class, and for friends sharing a pie and a pitcher. For over 40 years, we’ve been honored to be that place for so many of you in Newark.

Staying in business this long hasn’t always been easy. The challenges are real. But the secret to our longevity isn’t just in our sauce recipe (though we’re pretty proud of that). It’s in the continued support from generations of customers—from the students who became parents who now bring in their own kids. Your loyalty has been the most important ingredient.

So, from our family to yours, thank you. Thank you for every order, every celebration, and for making us your local favorite.

In times like these, we’re reminded that Newark’s dining scene is a family. We stand in solidarity with all our fellow restaurateurs and their teams. We are all in this together, and it’s your support that keeps our ovens hot and our community vibrant.

We hope to see you soon.
