Thank you came to Mingala
A hidden gem for Southeast Asian food in the Bay Area
Tucked away and serving up authentic Malaysian and Burmese cuisine for years, Mingala is a must-visit. Trust me, growing up in Singapore, I’ve been eating Malaysian food and visiting Malaysia every year since I was a kid!
Here’s a peek at their mouthwatering menu:
🍜 Bak K*t Teh ($21): A herbal broth rich with pork belly, pork ribs, mushrooms and tofu. It’s a comforting dish, perfect on cooler days.
🍜 Huat Dan Ho ($16): Creamy egg sauce over your choice of thick horfun or thin vermicelli noodles, simply comforting, one of my favorites and it’s hard to find this in the Bay!
🍜 Ha Mee ($17): A vibrant shrimp noodle soup that hits all the right notes. The shrimp taste is so pronounced and rich. Another favorite!
🍜 Chow Kuey Teow ($16): A classic, wok stir-fried with flat rice noodles, with wok hey (wok taste) and packed with flavors.
🍚 Nasi Lemak ($17): Coconut rice with all the traditional fixings—a true Malaysian delight.
🍛 Curry Seafood Clay Pot ($23): A hearty pot filled with fresh seafood and aromatic red curry.
Each dish brings a taste of Southeast Asia right to your table. And if it’s extra kick you’re after, don’t forget to ask for their homemade sambal. 🌶️
