To our patrons- we have had ongoing issues with staffing. Two weeks ago, our staff quit with no notice. The owners have been covering front and back of house since then, but we cannot continue to do so. We will be closed this week (8/27 through 8/30) for training and to finish a few projects. We will keep you updated on our status. We hope to be able to feed you again soon.

Things To Know Tuesday: How August Got Its Name Edition

The month that we call August was initially called Sextilis as it was the 6th month of the year. In the seventh century, more months were added to the calendar, so the names had to be changed. The now 8th month was named August after Octavian who became the Emperor Augustus after Julius Caesar’s death.
