Mario is the name of the owner of the legendary Fortunato Brothers Bakery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and reflects our commitment to family, community, people – and extraordinary food. Inside, Carlo Fortunato, son of Mario has created an energetic, unorthodox but chic, contemporary atmosphere that serves as the backdrop for the talents of Chef Pasquale Cozzolino, born and raised in Naples, Italy. Our pizzas reflect the tradition of Naples, with the delectable toppings of emerging American tastes. Our mixer, dough press and contemporary electric oven are all imported from Naples; the oven reaches up to 900 degrees, with a 1.5 inch thick volcanic stone from Mt. Vesuvius, giving unparalleled flavor to the pizza. In addition to pizzas, we offer a variety of authentic small and large plates; panini and heroes from our press, along with salads that are made fresh daily. We also offer a selection of delectable desserts from the Fortunato Brothers Bakery.
