and we have freshly baked

(the classic dove-shaped Italian holiday bread)
made with dark chocolate morsels, candied orange pieces, a crunchy egg white, sugar, and a toasted almond topping.

Here’s what’s happening at the bakery this week:

February 18th is the birthday of the woman behind our name.
Grandaisy was Monica’s grandmother — though to many, she was everyone’s grandmother. She believed in great food and in its power to bring people together. That’s the spirit this bakery was built on. This week we remember her.

A Sweet New Partnership: Via’s Cookies 🍪

We’ve partnered with Via because we genuinely love what she makes.
Small batches. Thoughtful products. Great ingredients. She’s cool and her cookies are, too. Come try them while they’re here.

Coming Next Week: Crostatina di Limone e Coco 🍋

Winter is citrus season. This tart is bright, golden, and just what we need to get through the last stretch of cold weather. Lemon. Coconut. Butter. Eggs. Sour cream. Sugar. Lemon zest. Bacardi rum. Vanilla bean.

• Stored at room temperature
• Best enjoyed same day (one-day shelf life)

They’re delicate — we pack them carefully. If you’re taking more than one, we recommend a small box.

This is our crostatina di lampone. It’s made with raspberries, a light almond marzipan filling, and just a little rose petal jam for a really delicate flavor, all in a fine butter tart crust. We make them every year around Valentine’s Day — come try one while they’re here. ❤️
