Korkoti is a Georgian dessert with deep roots in tradition.

Made with grains, dried fruits, honey, and walnuts, it was once served at more solemn tables — and is now loved simply for what it is: warm, comforting, sweet, and beautifully nostalgic.

At Laliko, we serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. From our very first days, it has been one of the desserts our American guests fall for the fastest.

Maybe it’s the texture of real grains, the natural sweetness of dried fruit, or the fact that nothing about it feels overly processed. Korkoti has that rare quality: it feels like dessert, comfort, and something quietly good for you all at once.

What could possibly be better on a hot day than a scoop of vanilla ice cream?
At Laliko, we serve ours two ways: with freshly shaved chocolate on top, or with pieces of gozinaki — our walnut-and-honey Georgian sweet that adds the perfect little crunch.
Both are exactly what this weather calls for.
And don’t forget: our veranda is open. A cold dessert, a warm evening, a table outside — honestly, it doesn’t get much better than that.

You’ve seen him here before, but we’ll happily introduce him again.
This is Ucha, our khinkali chef.
He has been making khinkali for most of his life, and at Laliko, this is his whole world. He rolls the dough, prepares the filling, folds every khinkali by hand.
Everything is made to order.
That is a big reason why our khinkali taste the way they do. Ucha has the kind of hands and instinct that only come from years of doing one thing very, very well.
We love him, and we’re very lucky to have him in our kitchen.

Mtsvadi is Georgian grilled meat: simple, smoky, and exactly the kind of food people keep coming back to.

You can build a dish in a million different ways, add layers, sauces, techniques, ideas. But sometimes the ideal is much simpler than that: perfectly grilled meat, good fire, and a bright sour plum sauce on the side.

The sauce is not just there because it tastes good, though it really does. In Georgian cooking, tkemali also helps balance the richness of the meat and makes the whole thing feel lighter.

A small detail we really love at Laliko: our green tile column.

The tiles were made in Georgia, and on some of them you can spot embossed coats of arms from different Georgian regions.

Next time you’re here, take a closer look and see how many you can find.

Meet The Proud Mother!

This June, our Mother Khinkali is showing her Pride.

From the outside, she looks just like the Mother Khinkali you already know. But once you open her up, there’s a colorful surprise inside: six little khinkali with bright, joyful touches of color, made to celebrate Pride with a little extra glow.

Mother Khinkali may not be the most traditional Georgian dish, but we owe her so much. She has brought so many guests to Laliko, appeared in countless photos, sparked conversations, landed in publications, and helped introduce our table to a whole new crowd of curious, fun-loving New Yorkers.

So this June, it’s our turn to celebrate her.

She already has the drama. She already has the reveal. Now, for Pride Month, we’re giving her a full glow-up ✨

Order The Proud Mother this June at Laliko and celebrate with us. Happy Pride month!

Happy Independence Day, Georgia 🇬🇪
We love Georgia loudly, proudly, obsessively. And we’re here to make New York love Georgia as much as we do.
It’s beautiful to watch New York fall for it too — the khinkali, the khachapuri, the wine, the warmth, and everything that makes Georgia so impossible not to love.
