Her Name is Han: ever wonder whose name is Han? Our founder had a spark of inspiration when he went to One if by Land, Two if by Sea: his very first fine dining experience in New York City. He was so impressed by the name of the restaurant, that he decided one day he would give his business a sentence style name.

Years later, one day when he was sitting at his desk, a random name struck and you guessed it, "Her Name is Han".

Han is a concept of an emotion described as some form of grief or resentment: it is said to be an essential element of Korean identity he really liked. It is also the last name of his mother! That's where our name comes from and it turned out to be one of the most successful naming of our restaurants! It even made it to a list on Food& Wine magazine!
