This strange and wonderful man has headbutted his way directly to our hearts 🇳🇴💙⚽

Can’t wait to watch this modern day Viking on the pitch with the rest of the Norwegian National Team to take on the Brits in the quarter finals tonight!

Watching a guy like him is a reminder that sports are meant to be fun. Seeing Erling be silly, having a blast and sprinting around the field is a breath of fresh air. The FIFA World Cup might be a serious tournament, but that shouldn't suck the joy out of football (or “soccer” if you're a heathen, looking at you 19th century Brits 👀)

We're glad he got his cowboy hat and we hope he gets the chance to see what he looks like as pancake art. We think he looks delicious 🤤

The Amazing Pancake Art Adventure ! Featuring Jax, Pomni, four Saint Louis friends, a bus stop, a bootleg keychain, and the University City Police

(SPOILERS BELOW!)

When you're a pancake artist, surreal adventures are just part of the job (our most recent event was giving preserved pancakes to Ripley's Believe It or Not! for display, followed by a performance on the Fourth of July alongside sword swallowers. More on that later)

Even then, maybe the strangest thing to happen recently took place after watching the finale of The Amazing Digital Circus, and the reveal that the show had taken place in our hometown of Saint Louis, Missouri. Thank you, Glitch Productions and Gooseworx, for the funniest twist you could have given us personally. Watch out for those sinkholes, Pomni

We thought we'd share a story of that night, and maybe give an explanation to anyone who paid respects to that bus stop and wondered why there were wet pancakes.

We found a place…

[If you're not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.

God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.]

-And the best part? you can EAT them.

Michael Jackson was the reason I fell in love with music, and ironically, is partly responsible for me becoming a pancake artist.

I moved on to Metallica when I got a little older and angstier, and later to more cerebral stuff like Elvis Costello and Fugazi. But my love for Michael Jackson’s music never left.

It’s a long story, but I became a musician/songwriter, and one of the instruments I picked up along the way was the drums. Which inadvertently got me into this weird little pancake circus I’ve been a part of for over a decade now.

Life is weird, guys. I won’t deny that a lot of my situation is a matter of happenstance and luck, but as the saying goes, “Luck is preparation meeting opportunity.” Somehow, someway, my incredibly disparate set of skills landed me right here.
