ORDERS & CATERING NEEDS? Omar’s Mediterranean Cuisine attracts patrons by the lovely scent of chicken shawarma roasting on massive spits; Served on a platter with two sides or tucked into a pillowy pita, slathered in his housemade garli

c mayo, tahini, and bright orange hot sauce. The famous lamb kofta kabob laced with more than a dozen spices, rich hummus drizzled with bright green olive oil, roasted eggplant with cilantro and basil, or sweetly spiced rice pilaf, all now served at Omar’s. Egyptian native, Omar Abouzaid, has had several successful New York careers since he moved to the US in the late 1970s. Starting at a Middle Eastern restaurant, he moved on to manage a Bakery in Queens until he came to co-own a Manhattan catering company, CowGirl Catering. It shortly became one of NY's local favorites, even profiled in The Daily News... and turn to 2024, he has grown to four (4) awesome locations in NYC to serve all of our customers. Omar's holds plenty of hidden deliciousness! You may wait in short line at his restaurants, but it’s for a solid good 'palette' reason of epic mediterranean flavors and fulfillment.
