Cafetal Social Club

Cafetal Social Club Cafe/Social Club Our black coffee or espresso is imported from Italy and ground fresh on the premises. We also serve American “brown coffee” from local roasters.

Cafe'tal proudly serves Italian comfort food; pasta, spaghetti and meatballs, Sunday gravy, foccia pizza, salads, panini, pastry, espresso, tea, beer, wine and cocktails. Menu: http://www.cafetalsocialclub.com/menu.html

Originially opened in the late 1940’s, Cafe’tal Social Club was a popular meeting place for G.I.s returning home from World War II to socialize, play cards and drink espresso. Caf

e’tal is the last social club of its kind in Little Italy and is again open to all who want to enjoy old immigrant traditions.

We are not only dedicated to maintaining the quality of our coffee but also to preserving the traditions of the past. We are honored to offer you the best quality "charcuterie" style meats, cheeses and pastries from local markets as well as organic milk.

For the best cinematic experience please use headphones.

A deeply personal film about the people and the neighborhood I have lived in for more than half my life. The film explores how the forces of hyper-gentrification and greed are attempting to force out the working class native New Yorkers that made this small section of Manhattan so special.
