Located in the heart of Bayside, Veranda is a bistro style restaurant offering American contemporary dishes served with a Mediterranean flair in an upscale casual dining atmosphere. Beyond the classics, Veranda's menu pleasantly surprises with dishes including the warm goat cheese fondue with apricot, zucchini chips with homemade tsatsiki, and yellowfin tuna sandwich, which are increasingly becoming crowd favorites! Veranda brings the outdoors in and the indoors out by opening its folded glass paneled doors to the outside veranda, seating over 100 people. Enjoy the outstanding food, refreshing drinks or a specialty coffee on the veranda, whether in the sun or under a terracotta umbrella, in the midst of a waterfall and garden landscaping. With an intimate indoor and outdoor setting and fine dining, Veranda is the perfect place to host private dinner parties and special events! Veranda founders Spiros and Elias Katsihtis combine their skills and 25 year restaurant experience to bring a new dining experience to Bayside that suits a wide variety of tastes and offers the ambience and excitement of Manhattan without the hustle, bustle and expense. With heavy hearts, we share that after much reflection, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors on June 30th, bringing to an end a journey that began in 2009.

For the past 17 years, Veranda has been so much more than a restaurant to us. It has been a place where friendships were formed, families gathered, milestones were celebrated, and countless memories were made. We have had the honor of sharing in your birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, showers, baptisms, first dates, and everyday moments that became special simply because they were spent together.

There are no words that can fully express our gratitude for the love, loyalty, and support you have shown us throughout the years. Every guest who walked through our doors became part of the Veranda family, and it has been a privilege to serve you and be welcomed into your lives.

As we prepare to say goodbye, we find comfort in the incredible memories we have created together. The laughter shared across our tables, the familiar faces who became friends, and the sense of community that filled our restaurant each day are gifts we will carry with us forever.

Thank you for believing in our dream and helping make Veranda a place filled with warmth, joy, and connection. While this chapter is coming to a close, the memories, relationships, and love that grew within these walls will remain in our hearts always.
