Today, we honor Juneteenth and reflect on the stories carried through food.
Many of the ingredients and dishes we serve at Berber have deep roots that connect Africa, the Americas, and generations of resilience.
Food cannot tell the whole story of Juneteenth, but it reminds us that culture endures. Across oceans, generations, and unimaginable hardship, people preserved traditions, flavors, and knowledge that continue to nourish communities today.
Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring influence of African foodways.
Happy Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚
