What are worm castings?

"castings" is a euphemism for p**p.

About a year ago I decided to be a better steward of the environment by limiting the amount of food that I threw into the municipal waste stream.

Vermicomposting or composting with worms takes up less space and these hardworking creatures never complain so long as you feed them.

In order to feed them meats and dairy. I decided to use the bokashi method (google it :)) of composting instead of feeding it to the worms, besides, I was generating more waste than the worms could keep up with...
