P.S. Kitchen is a vegan social business located in the heart of NYC between the 8th avenue and West 48th street.
👏Their commitment:
1. Create jobs for the marginalized in New York
2. Donate 100% of their profits to sustainable non-profit work
3. Provide people with delicious dishes that are kind to the body and the earthWe ordered a linguini Alfredo with crispy vegan chicken that was absolutely delicious, a beyond burrito and vanilla bean panna cotta that melted in your mouth mmm so good 👄
The restaurant atmosphere felt chic, modern but also intimate with the dim lights and very welcoming, people working there was attentive and informative of the menu.
April Tam Smith is the creator of PS KITCHEN, an Asian American immigrant, that in her words ¨was looking too give back¨, her mission was to create job opportunities for people who were at disadvantage, like people with criminal records, recovering drug addicts and those who are struggling with homelessness while at the same time providing delicious, nutritious and sustainable plant based food to people.
Honestly let’s just all give her a big round of applause! What a beautiful and meaningful idea imprinted in this social vegan restaurant. If you want to watch the whole video about the inspiring story behind the restaurant go to their website, it will touch your heart.
