Introducing Christian โCholoโ Oriondo! Heโs been with us since day 1. He walked into Avenue A 15 years ago looking for a job, and the rest is history.
โThe first time I met him, I was down on my hands and knees with a gas mask on putting an epoxy coat on our cement floor. He literally walked in off the street and started helping me. He also slept at the store with me during Hurricane Sandy and helped us get the Ave A store back up and running before anyone else in the East Village.โ- Christopher Pugliese, Owner of TSB
We also have a sandwich named after him at a couple of our locations - โThe Cholo,โ which has braised pulled pork, caramelized onions, slow-roasted tomatoes, and chipotle salsa.
๐๐จ๐ฅ๐: I do everything. I started as a porter, learned how to bake and grill, and Iโm now on the deli. Iโm also the lead Janitorial Trainer for new team members, responsible for maintaining the ovens, and helps with new restaurant openings.
