Guests of Plein Air- We are so proud of what we built together with you throughout these years. We set out to create a warm and approachable space for the enjoyment of food and drinks. An elevated but unfussy place we feel every neighborhood should have. We set out to make your day better by doing what we love.

Plein Air opened its doors to you softly, on a Thursday at 8am in the dead of Summer 2020. We didn’t know if anyone was going to walk through the doors. But you did! You came in your masks, ordered at the counter, then ate and drank outside in a precarious barricade topped with a party tent on Forest Ave. Weather seemed less important then. Hot or cold, rain or shine or blizzard… we all needed an excuse to get out of the house.

Time went by and we all re-entered life as we had known it in baby steps. Eventually the masks came off and we got to see each other’s smiles and chins. So THAT’s what you look like under there.

And finally, you could come inside! Over time, the Plein Air community grew and you SQUEEZED in. This endeavor was full of challenges. But at those times when our team was in harmony, and you all came out, we know it was magic.

To our teams past and present, to our neighborhood regulars, and to anyone who gave us the chance to make your day better, you have been our teachers.

It is time for us to close this chapter and get back out there. You helped us believe that anything is possible, even living out your wildest dream. And for that we are so grateful!
