In the early spring of New York, we invite you to spend a Sunday morning with us, reconnecting with nature through a tea ceremony and a moment of meditation.

In this event, we will begin with a welcome tea, guide you through a Zen meditation, and then immerse you in a Chinese tea ceremony to savor a premium tea. Tea enhances our meditation practice, while the mindfulness we gain from meditation deepens our sensory awareness, allowing us to savor the subtle flavors of tea.

When tea culture began flourishing over a millennium ago in China, it was closely connected with Zen and meditation. Today, we will explore the unique cultural experience of “Zen and tea, one in taste.”

No experience in tea ceremonies or meditation is needed—we’ll guide you through a relaxing experience from start to finish.

To ensure an immersive experience, we’ve limited the event to just 8 spots, so sign up soon!

As one snowfall after another fades away, we are finally ready to say goodbye to winter in New York. On the first warm weekend of 2026, join us at our Chinese Tea Ceremony Workshop. Discover the quiet mountain spirit within white tea, and learn to brew it with a gaiwan.

Start with an elegant Chinese tea ceremony, then get hands-on and learn to brew the tea yourself. In the hustle and bustle of New York, there's nothing quite like the experience of tea to give our minds and bodies a moment of tranquility and reconnect with the spiritual world.

Last Sunday, just before the snowstorm arrived, snowflakes drifted quietly outside our windows.

Inside the tea room, we held the second session of our Gaiwan Brewing Workshop — becoming more fluent in the process and exploring how different pouring techniques subtly shape the character of the tea.

With snow falling outside, the room felt especially still and warm. We practiced serving one another and shared a gentle, joyful afternoon.

May a simple cup of tea continue to create moments like this to everyone.

A flashback to a tea ceremony hosted after a snowfall in 2024.

In Chinese culture, winter tea gatherings have long been a way to share warmth and quiet moments together.

A pot of hot tea does more than warm the body—it invites conversation and closeness.

Tea is both a drink and a living culture.

When this storm passes, we look forward to gathering again.

As 2026 begins, I wanted to share a quiet note.

2025 marked the first full year of Teasthetic’s New York space. We remain a small tea space, and many things move slowly—but over the past year, I’ve been grateful to witness steady, meaningful growth.

Throughout the year, we hosted public Chinese tea ceremonies, refined our core tea experiences, and explored how tea can naturally meet other practices such as calligraphy, music, and meditation. We also collaborated with universities and cultural institutions, using tea as a way to create connection across different backgrounds.

In 2025, I returned to China several times to visit the origins of our teas and teaware, seeking clarity, craftsmanship, and continuity in both tea and teaware.

I’m deeply thankful to everyone who has visited Teasthetic, especially those who continue to return. I hope the tea you shared with us brought a sense of calm into your everyday life.

Looking ahead to 2026, my hope is simple: to continue nurturing this space and to keep deepening our commitment to tea, with care and sincerity.

Whether we have met before or not, I look forward to sharing tea with you in the year ahead.

Sincerely,
Mengyan Gong (龚梦艳)

As the winter days grow colder, we hope you’re staying warm and enjoying time with loved ones. At Teasthetic, we believe the essential value of tea lies in its companionship.

To embrace this idea, we’re hosting a Chinese Tea Ceremony Workshop, where you’ll learn simple and mindful ways to brew and appreciate tea in your daily life.

Start with an elegant Chinese tea ceremony, then get hands-on and learn to brew the tea yourself. In the hustle and bustle of New York, there's nothing quite like the experience of tea to give our minds and bodies a moment of tranquility and reconnect with the spiritual world.

No experience in tea ceremonies is needed—we’ll guide you through a relaxing experience from start to finish. To ensure an immersive experience, we’ve limited the event to just 6 spots, so sign up soon!
