Empellón opened with the intention of treating tacos with a high level of respect and serving them in a fun environment, which is how we believe tacos should be enjoyed. We designed the menu with the idea that most ingredients worth eating can benefit further by being placed atop a well-made tortilla. We push our kitchen team to explore the ubiquitous flavors that we all love about Mexican cooking in this country as well as the less obvious ones that we all should love.

Empellon is expanding...join the Management team!

We are seeking both Senior Managers (GM, AGM, etc) and Floor Managers for new restaurant concepts we're launching and our current portfolio of high-volume, chef-driven establishments (Empellon Midtown, Empellon Taqueria, Empellon Al Pastor).

All candidates must have high-volume NYC restaurant management experience, strong social skills and organizational savviness. You must also be dedicated, hard working and responsible. Managers will be the force in creating our exceptional company culture and are expected to inspire, motivate, and support the team in all facets of the restaurant.

Requirements for Senior Management:

Must have at least 3-5 years of high volume restaurant management experience
Strong passion for all things food and beverage
Detail oriented and expert communication skills
Extensive knowledge on the various platforms including, but not limited to: table management/reservations, payroll, POS, scheduling, training, accounting, etc
Department management and supervision
Proficient in budgeting, cost management, business strategy and forecasting and P&L
Full understanding of all Department of Health regulations and inspections
Full understanding of all Department of Labor standards

Requirements for Floor Managers:

Must have 1-2 year of high volume restaurant management experience
Strong passion for all things food and beverage
Detail oriented and expert communication skills
Staff management and supervision
Staff scheduling and training background
Guest relations
Previous server experience
