Decorating for this season fills my heart with joy. Each little detail is my way of saying, “You’re welcome here.”

🍂 SAVANNAH SHARES | There’s Something About Fall…

Fall has always been my favorite season.

Maybe it’s the crispness in the air. The magnificent colors. The sweaters coming back out. The sound of leaves beneath my feet. Or maybe it’s because fall seems to give us permission to come inside, slow down just a little, and enjoy the warmth of home and one another.

Fall is a season of harvest and transition. It celebrates what has grown while reminding us that change can be beautiful, too. The colors become richer. The food becomes heartier. The house becomes warmer. And somehow, I find myself wanting to gather the people I love a little closer.

There is something wonderfully comforting about returning to traditions while still making room to create new ones.

So yes…bring on the sweaters.

Bring on the soups and stews.

Bring on the apple, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter. Bring out the old family recipes—and send me the new ones I absolutely have to try. 😄

And please, somebody put a cake in the oven and brew a pot of coffee.
