New Ulm Dairy Queen has closed it's doors. I know there are rumors as to why. Here is the why from me. After pandemic it was extremely hard to get employees. We had employees leave due to medical problems. One very special to us was notified they had cancer. That left 6 employees. Long hours and no days off lead to employees burning out.with the day and age of posting stuff and people believing everything posted, added to the stress. All 5 of us left tried . Over the past 2 years it hit its toll. Surgeries, ambulance rides, and customer complaints ( the day the employee went to hospital was the beginng of breaking point. ) to be yelled at when employee is leaving by ambulance for us having to close. Really. This was a hard decision to make. The owner had her difficulties along with maintaining store. Divorce, disabled child hurt by someone they thought wouldn't do it. So before you go and listen to rumors. Ask the ones about it . The ones the rumors are about. Than think of your own self as to the harm you caused spending the rumors. Thanks to the customers and friends who did understand and helped through this time of need.
